Ms. Neena Singh

She started her career as Probationary Officer in the State Bank Group in 1978. During the course of her career, she was posted at Amritsar, Lucknow, Patiala, Chandigarh, Parwanoo, Kartarpur and Mumbai; and held responsibilities as Branch Head, Planning Manager and Chief Manager. Later, she joined Times Bank Ltd. (merged with HDFC Bank) where she held very senior positions and developed Retail Branch Banking in the states of Punjab, Haryana, HP, UP, Uttaranchal, Chandigarh UT and J&K. She innovated and spearheaded the launch of the Visa Kisan Card for lending to farmers.
In August 2007, as Executive Vice President of HDFC Bank, after 29 years in banking, she started working as Founder Trustee and Chief Functionary for Bharat Prakarsh Foundation (BPF). The Foundation is involved in educational, health and social upliftment projects in and around Chandigarh and Punjab. She was awarded Education Quality Foundation of India (EQFI) National Award for quality interventions in education in April 2010. She was also awarded by the Punjab Governor on Independence Day for her contributions in social work.
Ms. Neena Singh has been appointed as Advisor of the Centre for Participatory Management and Voluntary Organization (CPMVO) of Mahatma Gandhi State Institute for Public Administration, Punjab in June 2011. She is also associated with the research, training and consultancy activities of the State Govt. Institute.
A member on the Board of Directors of CITCO (Chandigarh Industrial and Toursim Development Corporation) for the last 5 years she is also a member of the CII Council.
As President Rotary Club of Chandigarh 2011-12, she is actively involved in humanitarian, environmental, vocational and social welfare projects.
S. Harpal Singh
Educated at PEC, B.Sc. Civil Engineering, 1952 and Harvard Business School, 1970, Mr. Harpal Singh was an Engineer in Punjab PWD and later G.M. in Escorts Ltd. From 1973 on wards he has been active as a business and social entrepreneur. Currently, he is the Chairman of Bhai Jaita Foundation, India and USA which carries out charitable activities focused on empowerment of the most talented among the least privileged in Punjab through education.
